Board Committees

Our committees work diligently to make Akron Community Foundation the best place for your philanthropy. They meet quarterly to review and approve grants, oversee the community foundation’s finances, and develop creative ways of empowering our fundholders, nonprofits, and charitably inclined citizens throughout Greater Akron to improve our community.

The Community Investment Committee reviews all grant applications for Akron Community Foundation's quarterly grant cycles: Arts & Culture, Civic Affairs, Health & Human Services, and Education. Committee members meet with nonprofit organizations to learn about and evaluate their programs.
