Join Akron Community Foundation for a dynamic Community Issues Session exploring how arts and culture influence the vitality of our neighborhoods, contribute to economic development, and foster community connection. This session will examine the powerful role that public art, creative placemaking, and cultural investment play in shaping the spaces where we live, work and gather.

Through the voices of civic leaders, artists, and cross-sector partners, we will discuss how cultural initiatives intersect with broader priorities such as housing, public safety, and neighborhood revitalization. The session will feature historical perspectives from Dave Lieberth, insights on multi-sector investment from Rachel Bridenstine of the Development Finance Authority, and the creative experiences of Akron-based artists Mac and Allyse Love and Dominic Moore-Dunson.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how arts and culture serve as essential infrastructure for thriving communities, and how philanthropic investment can help catalyze lasting, visible change across our region.
