Bert A. Polsky Humanitarian Award Dinner

Akron Community Foundation will honor Akron Marathon founders Steve and Jeannine Marks with the 53rd Bert A. Polsky Humanitarian Award.

The event begins with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Dinner guests will enjoy a program led by Akron Community Foundation President and CEO John T. Petures Jr., followed by the presentation of the Bert A. Polsky Humanitarian Award, which is presented each year to an individual or couple who has shown selfless dedication to humanitarian causes in Akron.

Event proceeds benefit Akron Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity that improves the quality of life in Greater Akron by building community philanthropy.

Sugar Plum Tour of Holiday Homes

Gay Community Endowment Fund

The Sugar Plum Tour is Akron's premier holiday home tour and the signature fundraiser of the Gay Community Endowment Fund.

This year’s event includes both live and virtual tours, with the live tour taking place on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 5 p.m., and the virtual tour taking place the weekend of Dec. 10-11. The live tour will showcase five incomparable historic and contemporary homes, all festively decorated for the holiday season. Virtual tourgoers will get a peek into all five homes on the live tour, plus three additional bonus locations.
