Senior Day at the Akron Art Museum

Join the fun at the 2nd Annual Senior Day at the Akron Art Museum. Each registered senior will receive a bag to fill while they visit with sponsors, including providers from health care, government, cultural institutions, and service agencies dedicated to seniors throughout Summit County. You can walk the museum on your own or sign up for a guided tour. Tours are limited to the first 60 visitors requesting the guided tour. This is a free event.

The museum is accessible to people of all abilities. Free parking is available in the deck across the street.

This event is supported by Akron Community Foundation and SummaCare.

Join us for a workshop with Summit County Probate Court Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer on Thursday, Oct. 5, at 4:30 p.m. at the Bath Township Trustees' Meeting Room in the lower level of the Bath Administrative Complex.

Participants will learn about a variety of topics including:

  • The importance of living wills
  • End-of-life planning options
  • The process of leaving legacy gifts to nonprofits like Bath Community Fund in a will or trust

During this gathering, you will learn about current needs in the Green community, as well as plans to provide local nonprofits with a permanent source of funding.

Carter will be the 54th recipient of the award, which Akron Community Foundation presents each year to an individual or couple who has shown selfless dedication to humanitarian causes in Akron.

The Sugar Plum Tour of Holiday Homes is Akron's premier holiday home tour and the signature fundraiser of the Gay Community Endowment Fund. This year's festivities include both live and virtual tours, with the live tour taking place on Sunday, Dec. 3 from 12 to 5 p.m., and the virtual tour taking place the weekend of Dec. 9-10. Discounted early bird tickets are available starting Aug. 26 and can be purchased online.
