A Letter from Bath Community Fund Board Chair Rev. Mark Frey
Dear Bath Community Fund Friends and Supporters,
I hope you have had an opportunity to review the list of 17 grants made in December to nonprofits serving the Bath community. This year, for the third year in a row, your Bath Community Fund was able to distribute $50,000 in grants, bringing the fund's grantmaking total to more than $250,000 in just seven years. Your gifts and support make this possible!
For those of you who don't know me, I was elected chair of the Bath Community Fund Advisory Board at the fund's annual meeting in August 2023. Before my retirement, I served as pastor of The Bath Church UCC for 25 years. I continue to live in the Meadow Park neighborhood, even now. I joined the Bath Community Fund Advisory Board in 2017. As chair, I look forward to working with the board, our nearly 400 donors, and the wider Bath community to continue supporting the many nonprofit organizations that serve our family and friends throughout the Bath and Revere Schools communities.
Also elected to the advisory board this year were Traci Mockbee and Maureen Katanic. They join our nine-member board, all of whom are dedicated to enhancing life in Bath Township by serving on the fund's advisory board.
Looking to the future, 2024 will mark the 10th anniversary of Bath Community Fund! It is remarkable that in 10 years, our community has come together to create an endowment with more than $1.1 million in assets. Our goals remain the same as they were when the fund was founded: to support the social, cultural and environmental treasures of Bath.
As we move into the new year, you will be hearing more about our 10th Anniversary Celebration. In the meantime, thank you for your support.
See you around the community,
Rev. Mark Frey
P.S. Don't forget to invite your Bath neighbors to join you in supporting Bath Community Fund!
