A Letter from Bath Community Fund Board Chair Diana McCool – July 2026

Dear Bath Friends,

Bath Community Fund had an exciting annual meeting on June 23, 2026, at the Crown Point Ecology Center. New donor initiatives were introduced to include the 1818 Legacy Society for planned giving and the Forever Bath Circle of Caring, an annual tiered giving program of sustained support.

Also, at the annual meeting we introduced and welcomed four new members to the advisory board: Scott Eller, Jeff Kerr, Luke Messner and Alexandra Vukoder. We said goodbye and thanked Mark Frey, James McClellan and Steve Strayer for being valued board members. It was my privilege and honor to take over the role of chairman from Mark Frey, who stepped down after ten years with this great board. We wish him well and will continue to gain insights from him as he continues with the marketing and communications committee.

As we look ahead, we are excited to begin our ninth grant cycle. Over the past eight years, Bath Community Fund has distributed approximately $350,000 in grants to programs and organizations that enhance the quality of life in our community. Applications for the 2026 grant cycle will be accepted from September 1 through October 1. Funding is available for programs that preserve Bath's historic and environmental legacy, enhance the local arts landscape, support youth, education, and recreation, and address the social service needs of Bath residents.
