The Women's Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation invites local residents and community leaders to save the date for its annual "For Women, Forever" dinner on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Goodyear Hall at The East End in Akron.

This year's keynote address will be delivered by Ernst & Young LLP Vice Chair and US-Central Region Managing Partner, Julie Boland.

Boland is responsible for driving market leadership, developing and retaining talent, creating high-performing teams and instilling exceptional client service in a practice of more than 16,000 professionals with nearly $5 billion in revenue.

With more than 30 years of professional experience, Boland also serves as a senior consulting partner for many of Ernst & Young LLP's largest clients in the consumer, health care and manufacturing industries. Boland's extensive community work includes board positions with Destination Cleveland, Cristo Rey Network and The Greater Cleveland Partnership. She has been honored as a YWCA Woman of Achievement, the 2018 Mayo Person of the Year and is a 2006 Leadership Cleveland graduate.

During the event, we will also honor Dr. Sandy Auburn, retired philanthropic development professional and active community volunteer, with the 2022 Judith A. Read Tribute Award for Service & Advocacy for Women.

"We are excited to feature two extraordinary female leaders at this year's dinner," said event chair Marcy Venarge. "Being a part of this event offers a unique opportunity for businesses to showcase their support for the women and girls in our community."

Named for one of Greater Akron's most influential philanthropic leaders, the Judith A. Read Tribute Award was created in 2016 to honor Judy Read's lifetime of service and extraordinary commitment to empowering women and girls. It is presented annually to the individual or couple who best exemplifies Judy's service, advocacy, leadership and passion in the community. Last year's honoree was Jacqueline A. Silas-Butler.

Dr. Auburn was unanimously selected as the seventh Judith A. Read Tribute Award recipient by a committee of current and former Women's Endowment Fund advisory board members and past award honorees.

Corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities for the Women's Endowment Fund's "For Women, Forever" dinner range from $2,500 to $25,000.
