WEF's Impact: Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center
The following letter was sent to the Women's Endowment Fund by Teresa Stafford-Wright and the staff of the Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center.

Dear Women's Endowment Fund,
On behalf of the Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center, thank you for your generous grant in the amount of $10,000 to support protective shelter and crisis intervention services for victims of domestic violence and their children. Your generosity will enable us to serve persons impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence and human trafficking with specialized core services — a 24-hour crisis hotline, crisis support and safety planning, case management, trauma therapy and support groups, advocacy, and community outreach and education, among other services — to achieve peace of mind and self-sufficiency, free from abuse.
In 2024, Hope & Healing Survivor Resource Center and Rape Crisis Center served 4,460 individuals throughout Summit and Medina counties, including 540 adults and children with 35,771 nights of protective shelter and 2,116 crisis hotline and webchat contacts for domestic violence. We anticipate that a similar or increased number of persons will benefit from our potentially life-saving programs in 2025.
It is because of kind supporters like the Women's Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation that we can sustain our mission and enhance programming for survivors of domestic, family, and sexual violence and human trafficking and their children. Thank you for everything you do to support much-needed programming in our community. We greatly appreciate your ongoing partnership and generosity.
Sincerely,
Teresa Stafford-Wright, CEO
