Judith A. Read tribute on display at Akron Community Foundation

Accentuating her lifelong commitment to empowering women and girls in our community, the highly anticipated Judith A. Read Tribute Award commemorative sculpture is complete and on display in the lobby of Akron Community Foundation.

Created by gifted local artist, Leandra Drumm, this stunning honorary exhibit celebrates the role of women as leaders in our community and will be updated annually to feature each Judith A. Read Tribute Award recipient.

Previous Judith A. Read Tribute Award recipient names engraved on this sculpture are Judith A. Read (2016), Marie Covington (2017), Laurie Zuckerman (2018) and Norma Rist (2019).

Named for one of Greater Akron's most influential philanthropic leaders, the Judith A. Read Tribute Award was created by the Women's Endowment Fund in 2016 to honor Judy Read's lifetime of service and is presented annually to the individual or couple who best exemplifies Judy's service, advocacy, leadership and passion in the community.
