From WEF's President: Celebrating Strength in Action

As we welcome the energy and renewal that come with the changing season, I am reminded of the power of growth – both in nature and within our community. Spring invites us to reflect on what we've nurtured together and to celebrate the strength that blooms when we act with purpose.
That spirit was fully alive at our annual "For Women, Forever" event on March 26. This year's theme, Strength in Action, was more than a message. It was something you could feel in the room. Nearly 400 individuals gathered in support of the Women's Endowment Fund, including our Founding Mothers, Circle of Empowerment members, grantees, sponsors, board members, elected officials, committee members, and dedicated community supporters. The room felt electric! It was a powerful reminder of what is possible when so many come together with a shared commitment.
We were honored to present the Judith A. Read Tribute Award to Bernett L. Williams, whose leadership and impact continue to inspire. The evening was further enriched by a meaningful fireside chat between Bernett and Debra Adams Simmons. They had a beautiful exchange that left many of us reflecting on the strength, resilience and vision required to create lasting change.
Together, we also celebrated a significant milestone: the announcement of nearly $200,000 in grants awarded this year to 39 organizations. These investments, grounded in our pillars of Health & Wellness, Safety from Violence, and Economic Empowerment, represent real and lasting impact for women and girls across Summit County.
I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of this community. Because of you, the Women's Endowment Fund continues to grow in both reach and impact. And because of the dedication of our extraordinary board, we are able to turn that support into meaningful action. I am thankful for each and every one of you.
As we move forward into this new season, may we continue to cultivate strength, invest in one another, and take bold action for a more equitable future.
With gratitude,

Erin Leppo Palmer
President, Women's Endowment Fund
