From our president: Thank you for your support
I continue to be amazed by how quickly time passes. We are already close to halfway through 2021 and it’s refreshing to hear how so many are focused on positivity. Before many of us can move forward, it’s important for us to acknowledge the affects COVID-19 has had on each of us. On September 16, we will hold our bi-annual forum Mental Health, the Pandemic and Moving Forward: Caring for Ourselves, Our Families and Our Communities. Please stay on the lookout for more information on this event.
Thank you to our sponsors, donors and continued supporters who attended our "For Women, Forever" virtual dinner in March. We had a wonderful evening celebrating our 2021 grantees, honoring the work of our Judith A. Read tribute awardee, Jacqueline Silas-Butler, and being inspired by our keynote speaker Ramona Hood. We are excited to have raised more than $100,000 to help advance women and girls right here at home.
As I wrap up my final month as president of the Women’s Endowment Fund as well as my eighth year on the board, I’d like to thank the many women who supported, uplifted, guided and empowered me. This fund has not only allowed me to serve the community that I love, but also has helped me grow personally and professionally.
I look forward to sharing hugs, handshakes, and laughs with you all in person.
With continued gratitude and love,
