A Letter from Bath Community Fund Board Chair Rev. Mark Frey - Dec. 2025
Dear Bath Friends,
Bath Community Fund is living in the afterglow of our successful 10th Anniversary Campaign! Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we raised over $540,000 for the fund and received donations from 61 new donors!
Earlier this month, we awarded 19 grants totaling $40,000 to nonprofit organizations serving Bath Township. What a blessing it is to provide these funds to groups that make our Bath community so special! However, we received grant proposals from 26 groups seeking $110,000, more than twice the amount we had available to award, so there continues to be a need for BCF.
I'm excited to share that Bath Community Fund has set aside $10,000 to support projects celebrating America's 250th birthday in 2026. We hope to fund up to five proposals for events or activities in Bath Township. We will receive proposals from Jan. 1-31, 2026, so put on your "thinking cap" and come up with some good ideas to celebrate America's 250th! Details for applying can be found at akroncf.org/applyBCF.
Please remember that Bath Community Fund is an affiliate fund of Akron Community Foundation, which handles our legal and investment needs. Every dollar given to BCF is tax deductible and goes toward creating a lasting legacy of support for nonprofit organizations that enhance the Bath community.
