What She Does

Malia coordinates events and provides administrative support for the community foundation's affiliate funds. She also serves as a liaison between the funds' volunteers and the foundation's staff to ensure the ongoing success of their missions.

What She Did Before

Malia has a background in the performing arts, having earned her undergraduate degree in clarinet performance from the University of Akron. She has worked within the education and community engagement departments of the Akron Symphony Orchestra and Cleveland Orchestra. Malia is pursuing a master's degree in arts administration from the University of Akron.
