Favorite Thing About ACF
Having the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and organizations that are deeply connected to the heart of the community. It is motivating to be able to support the direct impact of local efforts and to know that I'm contributing to creating a stronger, more resilient community for everyone.
What She Does
Liz manages the community foundation's scholarship program, which provides vital educational funding to area students. In her role, Liz oversees all aspects of the scholarship program, including creating the application process, coordinating award distributions, managing relationships with selection committee members, and ensuring compliance with program guidelines. She also serves as the primary contact for individuals and organizations interested in establishing new scholarship funds or contributing to existing scholarship funds.
What She Did Before
Liz is an experienced development professional with a strong background in both the nonprofit and higher education sectors. She most recently served as the assistant development director for the National Inventors Hall of Fame, where she secured gifts for children's education programs nationwide. Liz is an alumna of the University of Akron and holds a master's degree in business administration.
