That we work to address systemic issues through grantmaking to create lasting and impactful change in our community.
Katie connects nonprofits and community partners with Akron Community Foundation's grantmaking resources, guiding applicants through every step of the funding process. She also identifies emerging community needs and trends to inform strategic investments across the foundation's key funding areas. In addition, Katie collaborates with our Center for Family Philanthropy to help fundholders invest in nonprofit programs that reflect their philanthropic interests and values.
Katie is a seasoned nonprofit professional with more than 15 years of experience in library management, community engagement, and educational programming. Before joining Akron Community Foundation, she served in leadership roles at libraries in Summit and Stark counties, where she fostered community partnerships and developed innovative programs, events and services. Katie earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Kent State University and a bachelor's degree in communication arts from Malone University.
