Eric Jones is the President of Jones Group Interiors, a full-service residential and commercial interior design firm based in downtown Akron. For more than five decades, he has led the firm with a commitment to design, thoughtful space planning, and exceptional client service, overseeing projects that range from comprehensive interior renovations to landscape and specialty installations. A graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in interior design, Eric brings more than 50 years of professional experience in project management, budgeting, residential and commercial design, furnishings, finishes, and specialty services, including large-scale holiday installations. Deeply committed to the Akron community, Eric has served on numerous nonprofit and civic boards throughout his career. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens and on the University of Akron Arts Advancement Council. He is a founding member of Akron Community Foundation's Gay Community Endowment Fund, where he played a pivotal role in inspiring and shaping the fund's annual Sugar Plum Tour of Holiday Homes, including serving as the liaison for the homeowners twenty years. Through his leadership and involvement, the tour has become a signature fundraising event supporting the fund's mission. Eric also served on other nonprofit and civic boards, including Weathervane Theater, Keep Akron Beautiful, Summa's Health Pride Clinic, and Marine Colony Villas in Florida. Eric is passionate about strengthening Akron's cultural, architectural, and philanthropic landscape. He values collaboration, inclusivity, and thoughtful stewardship, and continues to dedicate his personal and professional expertise to organizations that enhance the vibrancy and heritage of the region.
