Established to honor and memorialize Renee Blackstock, who excelled in her academic studies and was valedictorian of both Garfield High School (1976) and The University of Akron (1980).  Renee also led an active and well-rounded lifestyle. She was dedicated to her family and benevolent toward health, education and animal welfare. Additionally, Renee was a faith-based woman who used that to guide her life. The fund provides scholarships for graduating Garfield CLC high school seniors pursuing a postsecondary degree.
