Donte Cargill is a compassionate and visionary nonprofit leader whose work is rooted in both love of community and the enduring legacy of his mother, Patricia. Donte established Patricia Ann Cargill Charities in 2022 in memory of his mother — who selflessly opened her kitchen to those in need even while battling cancer — carrying her spirit of service forward and ensuring her kindness continues to uplift families across Northeast Ohio.

In his role as founder and executive director, Donte has steered the organization with both strategic empathy and long-term focus. The charity works tirelessly across Summit, Medina and Cuyahoga counties, providing nutritious food, community resources, and educational initiatives designed not merely to feed, but to transform lives and break the intergenerational cycles of hunger.

The organization's impact is already profound. As of September 2025, it has proudly distributed nearly 800,000 pounds of food, mobilized 12,000 volunteer hours, and served nearly 37,000 people — clear evidence of Donte's leadership and the power of community-driven action.

Donte's philosophy transcends immediate aid. He aims to target the root cause of food insecurity by not simply providing today's meal but building the conditions for tomorrow's opportunity.

Central to that vision is the charity's FEED program, which stands for Feeding, Educating, Empowering, Deliverance. Through this initiative, Patricia Ann Cargill Charities extends its work beyond food distribution to education, empowerment and spiritual renewal, offering families tools to break free from systemic barriers.
