Keeping the arts alive - and accessible - in Summit County

Summer dance performances in the parks, cultural festivals in every neighborhood, and the Cleveland Orchestra under the stars at Blossom Music Center: These are just some of the cultural activities that make Summit County a fantastic place to live, work and raise a family.

Over the past decade, Akron Community Foundation has directed more than $5 million in competitive grants alone to such efforts as:

• World-renowned exhibitions at the Akron Art Museum
•  Creative expression through new media at the Akron Digital Media Center
• Children's Concert Society, Ballet Theatre of Ohio, Akron Symphony Orchestra and in-house performances by national acts at the renovated Akron Civic Theatre

• • • Are you a fundholder? We can keep you up to date on the community’s arts and culture landscape. Or, we can offer funding options in this and other areas of interest.

• Repairs and renovations at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens

Those are just a few. Donor advisors and designated funds contribute an additional $300,000 or more a year to support these and other Arts & Culture programs they identify.
