Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund Grants

In 2018, the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund awarded grants totaling $22,200 to seven local nonprofits:

A grant to the Children’s Center of Medina County helped build and furnish a playroom for family visitation at its new location.
  • Catholic Charities Community Services of Medina County, to support the Step Strong school-based prevention education program, $3,000
  • Children’s Center of Medina County, to build and furnish a playroom for family visitation at its new location, $10,000
  • Feeding Medina County, to support the Weekenders for Children program, which provides bags of healthy food for hungry elementary and preschool students to take home for the weekend, $2,500
  • Main Street Medina, to increase fresh food access for low- to moderate-income residents by accepting SNAP benefits at the Medina Farmers Market and offering a dollar-to-dollar match on purchases of fruits and vegetables, $2,000

  • Recovery Center of Medina County, to support an art therapy program for women and children who have a family member recovering from addiction, $2,000
  • Summer Reinforcement Program Inc., to purchase Chromebooks for students in the remedial reading program to increase their literacy and digital learning skills, $700
