A grant to Child Guidance & Family Solutions supported the TAPS intervention program to reduce school expulsions in Medina County.

  • Akron Symphony, to support the Link Up music education program in Medina County schools, allowing students, grades three through five, to explore music through a year-long curriculum of classroom activities and a culminating concert, $2,000
  • Brunswick Educational Foundation, to support the BEAT Video Program, an award-winning, youth-driven news outlet covering Medina County, $1,000
  • Child Guidance & Family Solutions, to support the Toddlers and Preschoolers Succeeding (TAPS) intervention program to reduce school expulsion in Medina County, $3,000
  • Community Assessment & Treatment Services, Inc., to support the Recover Strong initiative, a residential and outpatient physical health & wellness program for substance abuse patients at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, $3,000
  • Easter Seals of Northeast Ohio, to create a continuum of enhanced care for adults with disabilities in Medina County, $1,000
  • Friends of Medina County Parks, Inc., to support the Connecting Children & Nature program, allowing thousands of Medina County students, grades two through six, to attend educational field trips to Wolf Creek Environmental Center in Sharon Township, $3,000
  • Leadership Medina County, to support Medina County civic engagement through the Government Academy, a series of classes for individuals interested in learning about serving Medina County through public office, $1,000
  • Medina Cares, Inc., to support underserved Medina residents with temporary financial assistance for medical expenses during crisis situations, $3,000
  • Medina Community Police Activity League, to support the MCPAL soccer tournament, $1,910
  • Medina Creative Housing Inc., to support vocational training and supportive employment for individuals with disabilities, $2,500
  • Newbridge Place, to support the organization’s housing program for low-income individuals suffering from mental illness, $5,000
  • Oaks Family Care Center, to support the Creative Living Program, offering post- high school and college students life skills for independent living, $1,300
  • ORMACO, Inc., to support the Jazz under the Stars 2019 summer concert series, $1,000
  • Recovery Center of Medina County, to support Sérénité Culinary Institute, offering addiction recovery through food and hospitality, $1,000
  • Stewart’s Caring Place, to support cancer wellness services for Medina County residents, $1,000
  • Wayne County Fire and Rescue Association, to support agricultural safety and rescue training for first responders in neighboring communities, including Medina County, $2,500
