Join Bath Community Fund for a grant writing workshop. Attendees will learn the basic elements of a proposal, the “do’s” and “don’ts” of writing and submitting a proposal, how to follow up whether the answer is yes or no, and how to research grant opportunities using Foundation Directory Online. 

Dave Holmes, Cleveland lead at Candid Midwest (formerly the Foundation Center), will be the presenter for this event. He currently works on coordinating training, reference, and research and services for Candid’s Midwest region, and was previously a senior consultant for Grants Plus, writing grants and doing research for a variety of large and small nonprofit clients.

The workshop will take place Thursday, Aug. 22, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Bath Township Administration, located at 3864 W. Bath Road in Akron. The class will be held in the Trustees’ Meeting Room, located in the back of the building on the lower level. Tickets for the event are free, but registration is required.
