Seasons of Giving event preview

Join the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund for Seasons of Giving on Thursday, June 13 at Blue Heron Event  Center in Medina.

Seasons of  Giving celebrates philanthropy in the community and honors women who are outstanding role models for giving to others in Medina County.

This year’s featured speaker is Romona Robinson, Emmy Award-winning television journalist, author, motivational speaker and philanthropist. A local celebrity, Robinson broke barriers by becoming Cleveland’s first African American female primary news anchor and the city’s first female solo evening news anchor.

Robinson has earned several prestigious awards, including the Edward R. Murrow Award, YWCA’s Women of Achievement Award and Diversity in Media Award. Robinson has singularly devoted herself to issues of diversity and child advocacy and strives to help others by sharing messages of faith, hope and purpose.

We will also welcome Judge Jennifer Hensal of the 9th District Court of Appeals as our event emcee. Through her career, Judge Hensal has been active in Medina County, serving as assistant director of law for the City of Wadsworth, assistant prosecutor for the Cities of Medina and Wadsworth, and as a representative for other municipalities including Seville and Lodi. Judge Hensal has served as a visiting judge with the Ohio Supreme Court and is an Ohio State Bar Foundation Life Fellow and Akron Bar Foundation member.

During the event, the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund will also announce and recognize its 2019 grantees. The evening will include heavy appetizers and the opportunity to win special raffle items.

“After the overwhelming success of last year’s event, we’re excited to again host Seasons of Giving,” said Mary Isaac, president of the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund. “Seasons of Giving is a great opportunity to become involved in local philanthropy and learn more about the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund.”
